Josh Fixler

Assistant Educator and Youth Director

At Temple B'nai Shalom since 2009, Josh Fixler has worked with our religious school and youth groups. Before coming to TBS, Josh served as program coordinator for a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, doing political engagement work with youth and young adults. Having grown up in Denver, Colorado, Josh moved to the East Coast to attend the University of Maryland, where he majored in Organizational Development and Community Leadership. Josh lives with his wife, Annie, in Washington, DC, where they love to attend local theater in their free time.

Ellen Wolynec

Rabbi Perlin's Executive Assistant

Ellen has enjoyed her days at Temple B'nai Shalom since 2007. She previously worked at Harris Publications in New York City, where, for fifteen years, she served as managing editor for a series of nationally distributed decorating and gardening magazines. She hails originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts, received her bachelor's degree from American University, and has two grown children.

Lisa Colwill

Bookkeeper

Lisa has worked for Temple B'nai Shalom since August 2010. Before joining TBS, Lisa enjoyed a career as office manager and bookkeeper in Tampa, Florida. She is the mother of two teenagers and a two year old, leaving very little time for anything else.

Lynn Richmond

Religious School Secretary and KOL Editor

Since January 2011, Lynn has served as Rabbi Nyer's assistant and as the religious school secretary. She also serves as editor of the KOL monthly newsletter. The mother of three terrific teenagers, a daughter and twin boys, Lynn spends her time chauffeuring them to and from their myriad activities. In her free time, Lynn enjoys reading, seeing movies with her family, and being active.
