Youth Groups

Participation in Temple B'nai Shalom's youth groups helps foster a strong Jewish identity among our youth. Our youth group kids have lots of fun while making lasting friendships within our temple community, as well as throughout the world, as they participate in temple, regional, and national events and activities. Youth programs at TBS blend social, religious, cultural, and social action events led by our parents and youth director. All TBS's fifth through twelfth graders are encouraged to join in youth group events.

We have three wonderful youth groups

FeaSTY Fifth and sixth gradesThe group for fifth and sixth graders meets monthly for events planned and led by our parent coordinators and chaperoned by additional parents.

Jr. BeaSTY Seventh and eighth Grades This seventh and eighth grade group meets monthly for events planned and led by our youth director and chaperoned by parents.

BeaSTY Ninth through twelfth Grades is our senior youth group for high school students. BeaSTY is affiliated with NFTY, the North American Federation of Temple Youth and NFTY-MAR, NFTYFriday, June 3, 2011s Mid-Atlantic Region. Events are held monthly and planned by our youth group board under the supervision of our youth director.
