Whether relocating to Northern Virginia, rediscovering Jewish roots, or initiating religious study, Jewish families and individuals seek membership at Temple B'nai Shalom because the congregation offers both the religious environment and the community to share the most meaningful moments in life, whether joyous or sad, communal or introspective.
Temple B'nai Shalom welcomes those who share a commitment to Reform Judaism. TBS members have opportunities to enhance their knowledge and love of Judaism, and to deepen their identification and commitment, by enjoying an association with others that grows from participating together in Temple activities, including special events, group affiliations, study, and worship.TBS programs are as varied as individual members themselves. Offerings include Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Interfaith Couples, Social Action, Choir, Youth Groups (5th-12th grades), Religious School, and Adult Education. And opportunities to engage with fellow congregants—whether in joyous, song-filled services or more social gatherings––take place throughout the year. Special programs include a monthly Mothers Support Group, Tot Shabbat, Family Services, and Cradle Roll.
