A Philanthropy Campaign in Celebration of TBS’s 36th Anniversary

We’re pleased to announce the launch of TBS’s 2023 Philanthropy Campaign, Double Chai: To Life, To Life. This campaign honors our 36 remarkable years as a congregation, and paves the way for TBS to thrive for the next 36, 72, and even 108 years.  Beginning the week of April 17th and running through June 30th, we ask you to join your fellow congregants in making a Double Chai contribution of at least $36 to support our community.  

TBS is commemorating our Double Chai anniversary with milestone moments of coming together as a community in prayer, learning, service, and celebration. These joyous occasions, along with family Shabbat dinners, life cycle moments, adult education, inspiring music, and youth education and engagement are what gives TBS its breath of life. But dues alone don’t breathe this kind of life into our community.

You do – with your contributions of time, talent, and yes, treasure. Just as our members have come together to build and sustain our vibrant Reform Jewish community for the last 36 years, the campaign will provide resources to continue to build upon and strengthen our congregation.

Today, we ask every member to give at least $36 to TBS’s campaign by June 30th. For those who can give more, we ask you to contribute $72, $180, $360, $540, or whatever multiple of chai is comfortable for you.  Our goal is to engage 100% of our members in the act of giving at least double chai.

  • Mail your check marked ‘Double Chai Campaign’, to TBS at 7612 Old Ox Rd., Fairfax Station, VA, 22037, or drop your check off in the temple office.

Thanks to one generous TBS donor family, the first $5,000 raised will be matched dollar for dollar – doubling the value of your gift.
