Membership Categories
TBS never turns away anyone due to financial constraints. If the level of dues are an issue for you, please contact our Executive Director, Sharon Klein, or our Treasurer, Michelle Glicklin. Each spring, TBS reassesses membership dues for the fiscal year starting July 1.
Full membership benefits include: access to services including High Holiday tickets for registered family members, Rabbinic services, yahrzeits observed and name read for a year on the yahrzeit list.
Standard Membership:

Chai Membership
- For individuals/couples who have been members for at least 18 years.
- Full membership benefits

Active Military Membership
- For active members of the US armed forces only.
- Full membership benefits
- Dues: $2,870
Senior Membership
- For individuals/couples 65 years and older.
- Full membership benefits
- Dues: $2,533
L’Dor V’Dor
- For single individuals, who are children of current members, ages 22-29, without children.
- Full membership benefits
- Dues: $132
Older L’Dor V’Dor
- For single individuals, who are children of current members, ages 30-35, without children.
- Full membership benefits
- Dues: $445
Young Adults
- For individuals/couples/families with or without children, adults age 18-33.
- Full membership benefits
- 1st year in this category: (approximately ¼ of full dues): $849
- 2nd year in this category: (approximately ½ of full dues): $1,697
- 3rd year in this category: (approximately ¾ of full dues): $2,533
Dependent Parents of Members
- Parents of members age 75 and older who are financially dependent on their child(ren).

- Dues: $192
Long Distance Affiliations (for people living more than 60 miles from TBS)
Associate Membership
- Full membership benefits
- Life cycle events performed in Northern Virginia
- Dues: $1,997
Senior Associate Membership
- For individuals/couples 65 years and older.
- Full membership benefits.
- Life cycle events performed in Northern Virginia
- Dues: $1,635
Corresponding Membership
- Access to all online events and services.
- Receive all Temple mailings and communications; yahrzeits observed and name read for a year on the yahrzeit list.
- Does not include: Rabbinical services, High Holy Days or any other membership benefit.
- Dues: $223
