Temple B’nai Shalom Legacy Funds
RABBI'S DISCRETIONARY Fund
Gifts to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund are used by our Senior Rabbi to support causes that reflect the values of our community--providing emergency assistance to congregants, funding meaningful Jewish programs, and contributing to charities in need. It is traditional to donate in appreciation for Rabbi Widzer's role in life cycle events, or to honor or remember a loved one in a way that uplifts others.
THE DAVID KLEINMAN LEADERSHIP TRAINING Fund
The fund is used to defray the costs of supporting lay leaders' attendance at URJ Biennial and other leadership development-related conferences.
THE DONNA W. COURTNEY MEMORIAL MUSIC Fund
The fund is used to bring Jewish musical guest artists to TBS to entertain, inspire, and delight our congreation. This fund was re-established in memory of Donna W. Courtney, long-time TBS member, leaders, volunteer and music-lover.
THE TEMPLE B'NAI SHALOM RABBI AMY R. PERLIN AND GARY L. PERLIN ENDOWMENT
Established in 2018, the Endowment honors the visionary leadership of our Founding Rabbi Emerita, Rabbi Amy Perlin, and supports the future of Temple B'nai Shalom and Reform Judaism in Fairfax County. Your contribution helps preserve Rabbi Perlin's legacy and sustains our vibrant Jewish community for generations to come.
THE RYAN Fund
Your contribution Established to honor the life and service of Ryan Jacob Cernohorsky, Sergeant, USMC and beloved TBS member, this fund supports organizations that provide mental health and wellness services to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families facing challenges related to their service.
