A place you want to be part of with women you want to know.

We’re not your mother’s Sisterhood. Sorry mom, but it’s true. As part of an active and vibrant Reform synagogue in Northern Virginia, the TBS Sisterhood reflects our love for the congregational community, Judaism, and support for Jewish traditions.
TBS Sisterhood activites offer women of all ages and interests friendship, education, and a sense of belonging. Come and take part in our simcha and help spread some of your own.

Sisterhood provides assistance and care to the entire TBS Community and your membership is important. Here is what TBS Sisterhood supports:

  • Jewish Education – Sisterhood weekend getaways, Saturday morning Torah studies and so much more.
  • Religious Celebrations – The Women’s Seder, annual Sukkah decorating, and the Hanukkah party and gift exchange.
  • Adult Education – Programs on timely issues like bullying, addiction, advocating at your child’s IEP, and “The Sandwich Generation.”
  • Social Events – Casino night, cooking demonstrations, Hanukkah party and Gift Exchange, stain glass making, beading, dinner out with a movie, and our popular “Dine Around.” Coming soon BINGO-RITA.
  • Community & Social Action Projects – Reading Rainbow at the Kate Hanley Shelter, clothing drive for “Suited for Change”, and the annual Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the Lorton Community Action Center.
