Volunteer at TBS

TBS is a vibrant community because so many of our members are devoted to giving their time to support one another, organize programs or provide guidance. Whether you want to serve on one of our amazing committees or participate in a one-time project, TBS has a volunteer opportunity suited to your interests, skills and availability. No matter how you get involved, you will make an impact on the lives of your fellow community members,

If you are interested in giving back to our community, email Sharon Klein and get involved today.

Oneg Duty

Every Friday night after services an oneg of light refreshments is available in the social hall. Temple members share the responsibility of setting up and clearing each oneg. Typically two members (or member families) are assigned each Shabbat. Given the size of our congregation, members can expect to be asked to support our community in this way approximately one Friday night every other year.

The procedures for setting up and clearing the oneg are simple. Cookies and desserts are on trays. Pitchers of iced tea and lemonade need to made and put in the refrigerator to cool down. All supplies needed for the oneg are in the cabinets in the kitchen. Detailed instructions are posted on the bulletin board in the kitchen. Please plan to arrive at the Temple approximately 30 minutes before services on your designated Friday night.
